AWE Immersive Sports & Shopping• Intro on world is changing and Intel is investing. Cite sports

and shopping as an example• Why: User needs, $$#s• What: Intel’s efforts in capturing, rendering and interactions

for both sports and shopping (hardware optimization on server, client,replay, standards, partnerships, etc)

• Show vision of experience in shopping and sports, and importance of End user first approach

• Main message:– We are in a new era of being able to view and interact with

experiences in way we haven’t before to either assist them or immerse them in experiences they wouldn’t have access to from wherever they are.

– As we know there is high level of process:Capture, Render, Interact -Intel is investing in all 3 and in a new way by putting end users first, and I want to talk about two specific examples: sports and shopping

• So why sports and shopping?• We took a look at what people do every day with or

without PCs, and of course that breaks down into things like home maintenance, connecting with people, watching medai/entertainment, shopping, cooking, working, etc.

• Quote the industry # for sports and shopping here and user needs

What are we doing?• On the capture side, we have invested quite heavily with either

partners or acquisitions;– Replay for sports capture content– Realsense for capturing of bodies and objects with ISVs– We’ve started a standards body for clothes and bodies

• Our servers and clients have a big play in the digitization & rendering of the content

• Our client hardware helps users view the content with real time latencies and high visual quality.

• The above doesn’t matter unless you put it for something useful:– Ability for people to shop for clothes with right fit/size/style online– Abbility for people to experience sports not only as if they were

there, but in a completely new way• Show digitized jeans• Show sports• Any way to do a demo? Show holographic video of sports?
