The Web CMS market can be divided up into the size of the organizations needing a web presence.
Traditionally the big players have controlled the high end of the market. They have very mature well developed Document Management Systems that have been adapted for Web CMS.
The newer Web CMSs solutions control the lower end of the market. The big players are not interested in the low-end.
Even though the lighter WebCMSs are very good at what they do, they
struggle to compete with the heavier DMS for larger, more profitable
contracts. Typically, larger organizations have more than a single web
presence. To provide a multisite presence, the heavier DMSs that have been
customized to give the features of a Web CMS, now need to be further
customized, and they don’t do it very well. Some of the lighter Web CMSs
have added features to assist multi tenancy installations, but they lack the
features a large enterprise wants from a multisite CMS.
Jentla is going to change this. Jentla is a purpose built multisite CMS, based on Joomla, that enables you to compete with the Sharepoints and Vignettes of the world and provide a solution with multisite features that out performs any of the heavyweights, for the high end clients who will pay very well for a content sharing, scalable and manageable system.
