Sometimes it‘s not malware, sometimes it‘s just an app “What the original news network video

failed to emphasize is that there are any number of apps out there that collect user data to sell to marketers and advertising companies; not just flashlight apps. Quite a few “free” apps, including games, productivity, and health apps use this technique. It seems “free” apps aren’t really free. And, while your usage data may be collected and sold by the app’s developer, that doesn’t make the app malware and it doesn’t mean that any harm is going to come to you or your family.“

Regional phishing attack on German bank, Postbank

“Phishing attacks on banks and financial institutions are very common. In fact the number one target of phishing scams is popular payment service PayPal. In the case of this Postbank scam the unsuspecting visitor is asked to confirm his login credentials. Once the user submits his username and password on the bogus website, the scammers have obtained the user’s credentials and are able to steal his identity or sell the information to another cybercriminal..”
