you must logged out of your iTunes account, and when you see "Sign In" at the top right hand corner of the page. Go to the iTunes store home then click on  "Redeem."

Type the number of the gift card in the given box and hit the “Redeem” button.

If you have an Apple id, you can sign in your account. Otherwise, you must create an Apple Id.

After showing the welcome window, click the “continue” button.

has been redeemed. Click on the "Shop" button to go into the iTunes store.
