Secure raised floor solutionsfor your Data Center

The right floor should be strong and modular

Bergvik, a world-renowned raised floor supplier, offers a series of raised flooring systems engineered for use in all seismic zones. Adapted to accommodate all types of equipment and designed with room to expand, the Bergvik Iso Floor is a flexible, secure and cost competitive solution for your Data Center flooring needs.

Proven mechanical strength

Bergvik has developed and adapted a series of three different raised floor designs to accommodate all seismic zones. To further verify all structural calculations, we submit the floor and bracing structures to dynamic full-scale laboratory tests in accordance with NEBS GR-63 and NEBS GR-2930.

Cost saving features using Iso Floor

IT Perspective:• Only 2 grounding lug points diagonally per room are needed to provide a high potential to the main ground bar.

5

Cost saving features using Iso Floor

IT Perspective:• No additional steel substructures needed for heavy equipment like CRAC air conditioner units, UPS and Rectifiers since floor offers modular loading capabilities, making it easy to add pedestals and steel beams.

Iso Floor design for seismic zone 1-2

Bergvik’s floor design for NEBS Zone 1– 2 offers the same stable construction as our base model but with additional reinforcements to accommodate a higher risk of seismic activity.

Strengthened with a 60 x 60 mm pedestal anchored to the sub-floor with steel plate connections between primary and secondary steel sections, the Iso Floor model fulfills the requirements for seismic reliability according to NEBS.

This floor has passed both calculated stress as well as dynamic full-scale tests in accordance with NEBS GR-63 and NEBS GR-2930.

18

Iso Floor design for seismic zone 3-4

The Bergvik raised floor designed for NEBS Zone 3-4 is the most secure product on the market today. The addition of solid bracing frames anchored to the concrete sub-floor provides the strength and stability to withstand severe seismic activity.

This Bergvik raised floor system fulfills all the requirements for seismic reliability according to NEBS. The frames have passed both calculated stress as well as dynamic full-scale tests in accordance with NEBS GR-63 and NEBS GR-2930.

Floor Heights available in 14-36 inch (350 to 910 mm). Seismic bracing frames integrated with the raised floor have pre-torqued cross bracing rods, therefore no tightening is needed following an earthquake.

High loads on standard panel with minimum permanent deflection due to high e-module

Concentrated Load in aisle:

P = 1500 lbs (680 kg) gives 0.18” (4.7 mm) temporary deflection

P = 2000 lbs (908 kg) gives 0.24” (6.1 mm) temporary deflection

Permanent deflection after 5000 times = 0.004 inch (0.1 mm).

Rolling Load, CISCA Test:

P = 600 lbs (272 kg) using a 6” diam x 1.5” wide Alathane wheel.

Permanent deflection after 10000 passes = 0.009 inch (0.2 mm).

Standard panel construction and panel options

Suitable for most applications, the standard panel consists of a 1½" (38 mm) high density HD particleboard, moisture-resistant quality V313. The bottom side is laminated with aluminum. Standard panels weigh only 22 lbs. Flame spread is 20 (class 1) in accordance with ASTM E84 / NFPA 266 / UL 723.

As an option we offer a high density, all non-combustible calcium sulphate panel if there are limitations on the amount of combustible materials to be used in accordance with e.g. local building codes.

Bergvik Laminate finish

Decor: M335 Granite

• Extremely wear resistant

• Easy to clean – even the most difficult stains

• Direct-laminated without glue, which could work loose.

• Surface to ground resistivity: < 2x1011

Ohms at min 40% RH.

Other surface finishes such as vinyl, linoleum or carpet tiles are available upon request.

Tapered panel edges

Attractive, functional and safe

When floor panels are removed and other surrounding panels shift (which will happen), the unique tapered panel edge design of the Iso Floor allows the removed panels to “self adjust” and go back flush to prevent tripping.

The thin edge trim gives the floor an aesthetically pleasing appearance by making the panel edges virtually disappear into the flooring surface, while fully protecting the surface finish edge.

24

Features and Benefits:• Iso Floor provide high lateral stability, meaning all panels can be removed without the risk of the floor shifting. The free-standing, high stability floor substructure doesn’t need walls for support, allowing you to only plan for the space needed today, with room to expand.

• 25% more room for equipment in your Network Center will save money on the real estate investment. This can be achieved by using Bergvik custom size panels in aisles.

• Up to 70% less pedestal supports than conventional raised floors will provide lots of space for wiring, cable ladders etc.

• Removal of all floor panels in equipment aisles are now possible since Bergvik produce custom size panels to your specification.

• Open bottom access and/or perforated aisle panels allows for maximum cooling of Server racks. Airflow grilles with built-in fans directly in front of server racks can also be provided as an option.

• Floor panel meets NFPA 75 chapter 5.4.2 for fire resistance. Flame spread is 20 (class 1). Test report can be provided upon request.

• The all-bolted floor structure is sufficiently grounded by only two (2) grounding wires attached in opposite corners of the floor mechanics.

• A 5 year warranty is what you can expect.
