A podcast is a collection of audio (or video) files that people can subscribe to and when new episodes are recorded, the files are
automatically downloaded
mp3 is a file format for audio files that produces a high quality sound
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is a format that is used to publish frequently updated information. RSS can be used for podcasts,
blog subscriptions, or news headlines.

podcast
4. You must use the appropriate channel
number and password

Manage episodes will give you the opportunity to
edit and delete individual podcasts

Think of a television show- the channel is like
the TV series
The episode is the weekly (or in the case of
podcasting, daily or monthly) airing

2. Play podcast

Hints for Success
Write out an outline or transcript first
Teacher or guest podcasts should rarely exceed 20 minutes
Two to three minutes is a reasonable period of time for students to podcast
Use podcasts to enhance, reinforce, assess or …. But not to repeat!
