THE COMPANY

Consultancy and Service Provider. Our fuel management service offers a one-stop

Global (UK), Eco Systems (USA), and ESI total fuel management (USA).

Dieselcraft (USA); The best name in oil and fuel cleaning/purification

technology, design and manufacture high quality diesel performance

products for critical diesel and gas engine applications.

ESI (Total fuel management); Engineer the Toughest, Most Cost –Effective

and Secure diesel fuel management systems applicable for commercial

purposes; effectively eliminates contamination problems caused by water,

particulates and microbial growth.

Western Global (UK); Are the world’s leading storage tank and bowser

manufacturers. The Western Global storage tanks have excellent durability in

mild steel and polyethylene materials as well as other materials including

glass fiber and stainless steel for special applications.

Eco Systems; Manufacture fuel enhancers for small engines to the very

largest. The Eco Systems’ fuel enhancers have shown proven reductions in

fuel consumption, saving up to 30% (minimum) fuel on gasoline and diesel

applications, also, the systems have shown proven reduction in emission

levels (particulates and regulated hydrocarbons) of an average of 12% to

15%.

OUR OPERATIONS

Ithiel Partners Limited, Nigeria, is located in Victoria Island, Lagos. We have a team

of sales engineers and installation teams in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt that can

be deployed across the different regions.

THE PROBLEM

Up until 35 years ago, refineries used only about 50% of a barrel of crude oil to

make distillates such as gasoline, jet fuel and diesel. The remainder of the barrel of

crude oil went to “residual oil”. Today, as a result of different refining techniques

and additive packages, the refinery uses 90% or more of the same barrel of crude,

which clearly has consequences for fuel stability, influences the fuel properties and

affects its performance.

More than 90% of the debris on filter elements and the sludge in your fuel tank is

organic material, fuel and oil breakdown residue. In most cases, this debris is acidic

and not good for your engine. It causes corrosion in injectors, pumps and storage

tanks. The solids that form as a result of the inherent instability of the diesel fuel

and the natural process of degradation will accumulate in the bottom of your tank.

The sludge will form a coating or bio-film on the walls and baffles of the tank, plug

your filters and impact on combustion efficiency. Eventually it will clog fuel lines

and ruin your equipment.

Generally speaking there are just a handful of factors that will increase the risk of

diesel fuel operating in a harmful way. They are:

1. Dust & dirt introduced into the tank. This can occur by:

Clumsy refilling using inappropriate containers.

Tank inspection hatches being left open.

Contamination from the supplier’s equipment.

Debris from deteriorating materials for example rust. This can be

caused by long term microbial contamination which renders the

diesel very acidic. The acidic waste product from the organism eats

into the metal surfaces (including the interior of metallic storage

tanks) causing accelerated wear.

2. Water contamination

Tank inspection hatches being left open.

Clumsy refilling using inappropriate containers.

Condensation that occurs naturally with air temperature changes.

Condensation can be exacerbated when fuel returning from an engine

is warm.

Bio content naturally holds onto water anyway.

3. Microbial spoilage is now very common mainly due to:

Water in fuel

Low sulphur

We tend to refer to fuel as “bad fuel” when we see symptoms such as:

- Dark, hazy fuel

- Filter clogging

- Sludge builds up in tanks

- Poor engine performance

- Excessive smoke and emissions

We refer to fuel as “good fuel” when it is clear and bright. However it is worthy of note that no diesel fuel is pure (free of contamination), it is contaminated even from the refineries by its nature.

THE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

We have range of products aimed at maintaining and protecting your engines and

also, reducing your cost (increase your savings) on recurrent fuel and stand-by

critical power operations expenses.

a. Purification: Purification units are available for diesel engines of various

sizes/ratings; this ranges from 20Kva diesel generating sets and above to

tanks with volume capacity of 50,000 litres and over, including tank farms.

b. Tank Polishing: It is important that tanks are regularly polished to check for

harmful levels of sludge and debris buildup (especially as most storage tanks

are constructed with materials prone to deterioration by the diesel

contaminants e.g. iron).

c. Storage: Providing environmentally safe UN approved fuel storage facilities

which also ensure cleaners fuel for your engines.

d. Fuel Enhancers: Eco Systems’ fuel enhancers are very compact and work for

both diesel and gasoline fuel, it is usually installed along the fuel line,

attached between the fuel source and the engine. The system lowers

emissions, increases fuel performance and promotes engine efficiency; saves

fuel (lowers cost). It works by electrostatically charging the fuel in-use.

BENEFITS:

1. REDUCE YOUR FUEL OPERATING COST

a. Eco Systems fuel enhancers provide averagely, 10% savings on

fuel consumption with savings ranging from 3.5% to 30%

b. Dieselcraft diesel purification units and the ESI systems ensure

clean and completely diesel fuel, into your engines. The

purification unit reduces fuel operating cost by

enhancing/ensuring engine (combustion) efficiency and thus

your diesel supply lasts longer. – If your diesel fuel is 100%

clean, the generator uses it more efficiently (eliminating burning

of excess diesel and incomplete combustion). It is not enough to

add additives, because it does not remove dirt or slug, it only

kills micro-organisms whose carcass remain in the tank and will

cause blockages and other damages. Dieselcraft and the ESI

systems eliminates ‘’All’’ the water present in the diesel fuel. It

should be clean fuel getting into engine

2. REDUCE COST AND SCEHDULED REGULARITY OF MAINTENANCE – Many

generator sales and service companies in Nigeria will strive to protect

their maintenance business and rightly so. However, some service parts

which are different from other engine parts are expensive, that should

last much longer but don’t because of bad fuel. These include FUEL

PUMPS, INJECTOR NOZZLES, ECOPLUS PUMPS etc. It is in their interest

to sell these parts, but as an owner this is additional cost (often quite

expensive and changing them several times is cost burdening) as well

as the effect of the engine downtime when these parts are damaged.
