What Is Internet ? The INTERNET is a

network of computers,

which links many different

types of computers all over

the world.

It is a vast International

network that is the most

preferred WAN of the world.

It is a Network of Networks.

History of InternetIt came into existence in 1969.

U.S. Department of Defense

sponsored a project named ARPANET.

In mid 80’s a new high capacity

network, NSFnet was created.

Later many private companies built

their own networks, which

interconnected with ARPANET &

NSFnet to from Internet.

Impact On Society Technological

advancement affect

every aspect of society.

Internet has brought

the society under one

roof by providing

information globally and

reachable to everyone.

internet for finding information

regarding education.
