ACTIVATOR – Background

In 2004, TIH got exposure to Finnish CoE programme through visit to FinlandCoE model impressed TIH as a means to move from focusing on TIH park into regional innovation impactApproached COFISA for support for Nov 2007 – Nov 2009 Conducted feasibility study in June 2007Started inception phase in November 2007Selected two ICT projects for pilot implementation in March 2008 Developed new identity in October 2008

ACTIVATOR – Projects Requirements

Project consortia must include 1x Large company, 1x university or R&D institution and 1 or more SMEs

Innovation projects in the high-tech sector closer to market

Projects representing opportunity to expand stakeholder base by involving multi-helix role players and expanding innovation output into different areas.
