• Laser means light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation. 

• Directionality is the advantages for laser light, Laser emits light in one direction, the beam divergence angle is small, close to the ideal parallel light,

• Monochromatic: laser spectral width is very small, a few nano-meters. Therefore it has good monochromatic light.

Laser infrared light adopts semiconductor laser as light emitting device. The output is light, thus can be used as light source. With reason of directionality features and narrow width of beam, the laser infrared can emit in long distance with intensity light, therefore it's suitable for long range distance illumination. Long range distance illumination is the most important features for laser infrared light.

Adding laser infrared light to CCD camera composed of night vision security camera; the laser infrared light emitting the 808nm wavelength infrared as light source.  

Infrared laser light typically choose the 808nm semiconductor laser. 808nm is a wavelength near infrared and visible light, CCD image sensor with good sensitivity on 808nm wavelength light.
