Creating a Universe using IDT

Creating a Project and Database Connection

Open IDT

File -> New -> Project

Give Project Name here. Project location specifies your workspace in your local

drive where the project files will get saved

Now you will see your project name in “Local projects (Client_Work Space)”

Right Click on the project -> New -> Connection

Here you will find two options Relational and OLAP connection

As our database connection is from system ODBC, we will select Relational

Connection

Select your database connection (here MS Access). IDT gives you multiple options

for Relational DB connection
