Feel• Green trees take in Carbon-dioxide from the air and give out Oxygen, thus keeping a balance of the gases in the atmosphere.

• These green trees are the life givers. If they are not there, there would be no life on Earth.

Page 6: Ind eng-335-ppt

• As responsible human beings, it is our whole and sole duty to give life to these life givers and also protect them.

• We noticed that the roadside trees are not being taken care of.

• It was also observed that the roadside trees are hemmed in by hard tar whenever new roads are laid or any repairs are done on the roads.

• This hard tar deprives the roots of the trees of the necessary favorable conditions like oxygen and water for their proper and healthy growth. This sooner or later results in perishing of these trees.

ImagineFirst we surveyed to find out the hemmed trees in different localities. We were surprised to see that such trees were almost everywhere in the city. Some of them were on the verge of dying and some had already been dried up.

On interviewing, we found that majority of the people knew the benefits of trees but did not consider hemmed in trees as a problem. They wanted greenery around but did not show any interest.
