Image Constructor for Custom Options for Magento Installation/Configuration Guide

Installation  

1. First of all, back up your store database and web directory. It is wise to perform this                                 procedure before any installation. 

2. On your back end, go to System → Magento Connect → Magento Connect Manager                           and log in to Magento Connect Manager with administrator credentials. 

3. Under “Direct package file upload” section, browse for extension archive file and hit                   “Upload”.  

  

4. Return to website back end, log out and then log in again. 5. Flush Magento Cache under System → Cache Management. 6. Congratulations! You are now ready to use Image Constructor for Custom Options.

Configuration/Usage

Creating product custom options Before using Image Constructor for Custom Options, you need to make sure product custom options are actually set. You can add custom options to your product as a part of Magento default functionality: Go to Catalog→Manage Products→<Product Name>→Custom Options and create custom options as you need: 

 

Assigning Images to Custom Option Values Once your custom options are set, you can match image with custom option value by going to                                 Catalog→Manage Products→<Product Name>→Image Constructor Options as shown on               the screenshot below.  (NOTE: Save all the product changes before uploading images for option values. Do not                           forget to save the product after all images are selected).

 In result, you will see images nicely overlaying on the frontend when choosing a certain custom                               options value as set via backend.
