DESCRIPTION

About the Client Having been active for more than 130 years in all States and Territories, St John Ambulance Australia is dedicated to helping people in sickness, distress, suffering or danger. Cadets is their youth development program, enabling young people aged 8 to 25 years the opportunity to learn new skills that will be with them for life in an environment that is fun, engaging and supportive. The program provides opportunities for young people to learn about first aid, leadership and how to help others. Client Objective St John Ambulance Australia required a distinct Cadets website that would engage its youth target market while basing its design on the St John Ambulance Cadet Handbook publication. The site had to be hosted on a different server to its national counterpart with a separate Joomla backend, and incorporate the colour scheme of the St John Ambulance Cadet Handbook publication. In other words, pages were required to mirror chapters in the Handbook using the same look and feel. St John Ambulance Australia also required top and side navigation menus with the ability to install a log-in module in future. iFactory Solution iFactory designed the Cadets website with audience in mind. While working with the Cadet Handbook look and feel, the design incorporated primary colours and graffiti style graphics to appeal to the younger demographic. Utilising Joomla as the Content Management System (CMS), templates were created based on the individual Handbook chapters. The design also included easily navigable top and side menus to encourage content click-through and to enable the installation of a login module in the future To design a digital solution that is right for you, call iFactory on +61 7 3844 0577 or email [email protected].
