IF YOU HAVE TO LEAVE, DO IT GRACIOUSLY! -Part 1

We are leaving in a unique dispensation in time. There is a wind of

change sweeping across the land. This change is characterized by uncer-

tainty. People seem to be moving in

uncharted territory. During such mo-

ments, fear must be confronted ruth-

lessly. Why? Fear will paralyze you

and hold you captive! We must find

solace in this scripture: “For God has

not given us a spirit of fear, but of

power and of love and of a sound

mind.” 2 Tim. 1:7- NKJV.

When people‟s expectations are not met, there is a tendency to react.

That is what is happening in many places in the world today.

There is normally an individual, group, institution or organization that

we shift our blame on or victimize. Nobody wants to be blamed. This

leads to a situation where foul language is employed to compel peo-

ple to bite the bullet. Responsibility and accountability is bitter to

truth to swallow. But It is healthy to the souls of those who have

learned to live by it.

Acrimonious attitude is unhealthy to

any human soul. Esau‟s descendants

tried it but only led to further separation

from the Lord God Almighty. It is written,

“... Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I

hated.” Rom. 9:13-NKJV. The Edomites

who are believed to be descendants of

Esau had a grudge against the people of Israel for several centuries.

The way they behaved when Jerusalem

was invaded speaks volumes about it. In-

stead of providing safe avenues to their

brothers they were in concert with their as-

sailants. Read Obadiah 1. They had no

room for forgiveness in their hearts. Un-

forgiveness is a hindrance to advancement.

God responded by declaring that they would be the tail among na-

tions. "Behold, I will make you small

among the nations; You shall be great-

ly despised.” Obadiah 1:2

The strategy of the enemy is to de-

mote people from their rightful posi-

tion where God intended them to be.

There is a Wind of destruction currently moving across the globe with

the intention of separating people into racial, tribal, religious, social, eco-

nomic and political groups. It begins by allowing the root of bitterness room

in our hearts.

Our God is a family God. He is a

triune God. He declares, “Two are

better than one; because they have a

good reward for their labour.” Eccl.

4:9. (KJV).

In His ministry, Jesus highlighted

this commandment concerning Love

for God and our neighbour. He said," 'You shall love the LORD your

God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and

with all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.'" – Luke 10:27 –

NKJV.

In as much as people would want to enrich their own, they should

never forget this commandment. It is more blessed to give than to receive.

We have some shining „lights‟ who have demonstrated that you can

share what you have and still remain on top

and stronger. Bill Gates and Melinda Gates

through their Foundation have brought tre-

mendous difference in

the lives of many peo-

ple across the globe.

They have been instrumental in supporting many pro-

jects in the field of health and agriculture. They are

many others whose philanthropic efforts will never be

forgotten. Facebook founder Mark E. Zuckerberg has

joined his counterpart. They have taught us that wise

people do not eat alone. They share their cake!

Prayer: Dear God, I come you a sinner, please forgive me all my sins. I reject

satan and accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour now. Wash me clean with

the precious Blood of Jesus. Thank you for saving me. Write my name in the

Book of Life. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and Power and cause me to be a wit-

ness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In Jesus‟ holy name I pray and believe.

Amen!
