Introduction An ICT is any device, tool or application that permits the exchange or

collection of data through interaction or transmission.

The role of ICT in Agriculture is to improve Smallholder livelihoods. control the food price and enhance the productivity of the food and grains timely market information, better access to financial services, timely and appropriate crop disease management advice

Current scenarios

With rising food prices pushed over 40 million people into poverty

since 2010 The growing global population, expected to hit 9 billion by 2050 demand for food Feeding that population will require a 70

percept increase in food production (FAO 2009).

Challenges in front of Indian agriculture

Poor knowledge about the weather forecast, pest and diseases.
