it is well versed that Apple is a close platform and you left with only one option for the marketing of
your iPhone programming products or iPad programming products and that is App store, not on open
web or Amazon like third party vendors. Therefore, your marketing campaign for iOS programming is
restricted up to App store and no need to spend time and money on the web. In App store, your
marketing tools are again limited and remaining up to some texts, symbols, and images of your product
as far as final source to initialize the download tapping.
However, there are other marketing tricks before launch and after launch of your iOS app to create a
buzz on the web and among the social and professional circles, but every effort will end with the last
thing and that is your product description on the page of iTunes or in the App store for iOS device

characters consisting of alphabetic, numerals and some Unicode symbols. That means you have limited

characters to describe the app because the App store is flooding with tons of various apps for various
users and have very primitive search functionality in compare to Google like search engines. Therefore, a
user has daunting task to find a desirable app in App store and seems like finding a needle in hey stock.
Due to over-crowding, a user has a very short span to pay attention towards the app description written
by an iPhone app developer or iPad app developer. Therefore, we have to know that what will work
quickly and effectively. If you examine closely you will find that in iTunes there is fold where you will find
two or three top lines of your app description open to read and rest wrapped under the more… button.
This ultimately forces an iOS developer to use the space above the fold effectively with its maximum
capacities. Now, let’s see what are the detrimental factors to do efficiently. The first thing is the
character limit per line as it only absorbs 120 character for a default or normal line and only 75
characters for bulleted line. If any character goes beyond this count it ultimately places in next line or
goes in to the fold. Another important consideration is blank line, which again count as a line and leave
you wastage of space if you don’t use it in order to create good looking formatting of texts.
This doesn’t mean that you have to fill up all lines which texts or characters and forget about the
readability issues. Mind the look and feel also here and try to make it attractive despite consisting
maximum important information and your golden keywords. Another factor is the device you intent to
place your copy on. If your app is iPhone app try to create Ad copy fit for iPhone like long device
whereas for iPad make it fit for wider devices like tablets. If you intended both devices then you should
formulate your description smartly to fit on both devices and in both orientations-landscape and
portrait.
You can create attractive and readable description copy as seasoned iPhone developer or iPad
developer using bulleted list since bulleted texts are not wrapping and include 75 characters maximum.
Another good aspect is use of Unicode characters, which are ultimately making look crisp.
