Hydroelectric power plants – how it works

The water runs through the headgate, and into the turbine

The turbine seperates the energy from the water, and discharge the water, while the energy goes into the generator

The generator sends the energy to the transformer who transform the energy to electricity.

Then the electricity goes out to the high-voltage wires.
