As a students of human behavior we are more concerned today with the tremendous influence of industrial and business organizations not only on their own development, but also on the daily round of life of all citizens in all industrial society.

TUASON says that Human Relations is both an “art” and “process.”

In Human Relations at Work, Keith Davis defines Human Relations as:

“motivating people in an organization to develop teamwork which effectively fulfills their needs and achieves organizational objectives.”

HUMAN RELATIONS CONTAINS A NUMBER OF POINTS

1st : human relations focuses on people rather than on economics or mechanics.

2nd : these people are in an organizational environment rather than in an organized social contacts.

3rd : a key activity in human relations is motivating persons.

4th : the direction of motivating is towards teamwork, which requires both coordination of the work and cooperation of the person involved.

5th & 6th : human relations through teamwork seeks both is need fulfillment and reward.

7th : the definition of human relations is that both people and an organization seek results effectively, that is, with minimum inputs in relation to output.
