The HSA Foundation is an industry standards body, backed by industry

leaders, which aims to make heterogeneous computing natural and pervasive through hardware and software standards aimed at making

the heterogeneous units easily accessible to software developers.

Today’s SoCs have many compute elements but no standard features or standard ways for programmers to access them. HSA will provide that standardization so that a broad ecosystem can develop around

these standard programming models.

The key features of an intermediate language have already been standardized and now public (see www.hsafoundation.com) and the

system architecture spec is on the brink of finalization.

Phil Rogers, President of the HSA Foundation will describe HSA, the HSA Foundation and its work to date. There will be other members of the HSA Foundation present as well and there will be a Q&A session to follow where you can ask members of the HSA Foundation any ques-

tions you may have.

Come and learn about one of the most notable trends in computing aimed directly to assist programmers. Get a chance to quiz the origi-nators of this architecture and influence the development of this new

programming model.
