  • 1. Its a good habit to have a smartly managed files database. Such a file system will enable quick access to your documents, files, music, videos and images. How to Organize Files?

2. Organize Documents Spend time moving your documents from Desktop to the Documents folder. Delete unneeded files. Likewise manage the contents of the Music, Pictures and Videos folders. 3. Display Users Files Folder Icon on your Desktop Right click your desktop, select Personalize. Click Change desktop icons link on the left side panel. Check-up Users files checkbox and then click OK. Use Clone Files Checker 4. Change Layout and Sort Documents Double click Users Files folder on your desktop. Open the Documents folder. Click the View tab on the ribbon interface. Select any option among extra-large icons, large icons, medium icons, small icons, list or details from Layout pick-up box. Then in the same View tab there is Sort by icon in Current View. Select type from Sort by drop down options. This will sort files by their file types. Make sure Ascending option is also selected. 5. Separate your Documents from Windows Partition The partition containing Windows installation files should be different than that containing your documents and files. This will save your documents and files from losing in case you need to format system drive. Open your Users Files folder. Right click a special folder, say Documents or Downloads. Select Properties from the context menu. Properties dialog will open. Click the Location tab. Change the default location, set a different partition, say drive D:, and then click Apply | OK.
