How to manage Your files in

Introduction

Managing print files with Gelato Globe is easy and intuitive

Here you will see how to:

• Upload files• Preview files • Change format• Create lists and tags• Share designs

Upload files

Sign in or sign up to Gelato Globe to start uploading print files to your account. Simply “drag & drop” or use our integrations with Dropbox, Google Drive and Adobe.

After you upload, the system will process your file, checking dimensions, DPI and colors. It will then automatically find a matching format. For example, if your file is an A5 booklet with 8 pages, it will be labeled “Brochure”.

You will find all uploaded material under “Your account” in “Your files”.

File preview

After uploading, you will see a preview of your file. On this page, you can directly place an order by selecting quantity, choosing paper type and country of delivery. Otherwise, just “Save to Your Files”.

Click on “Change format” to select a new format for the design you’ve just uploaded.

Click to “View full screen” and check all pages of your uploaded print file. We highly recommend that you use this feature, because here you will see how your file will be printed.

Change format

Our system automatically recognizes the best format for the file. If this is not the format you wish to print the material, you will click on “Change format” and come to this page.

Here you will find all formats supported by Gelato Globe. Navigate and check if the new format suits your file. You will be able to preview it, so please pay attention to alignment, bleed and borders.

Click on “View full screen” to see how every page of your file in configured in the new selected format.

You will be warned if areas of your file may be trimmed off in the printing process. In this case, we recommend you to re-scale the file or choose a more suitable format.

Check if the design is aligned and make sure that the bleed area is fully covered, i.e. the file does not show white borders.

Your files

After previewing and changing format if necessary, “Save to Your Files”. The file will be automatically stored under FORMATS, in the respective folder for the format you have chosen.

When viewing all or selecting one of the seven categories for formats, you can choose to sort by “Newest/Oldest” uploaded files or you can simply do a search by filename, tag or list.

Lists and tags

When you click on a file in your library, a lightbox pops up enabling you to add tags that will help you easily find it when you use the search field.

If you are an administrator of the account, you have the permission to create or delete Lists. This is very useful resource that allows you to organize files in the way that best suits your needs. You may categorize files by names of colleagues, cities where your company is present or by different marketing campaigns.

Share designs

In the same lightbox where you create lists, you may also share uploaded print files with colleagues registered in the account.

Select the names with whom you wish to share the design and add a message to the recipients. They will receive and email with a link to the file.

Library

As you upload and categorize your files, you populate your library with designs ready to be printed.

Simply drag and drop files to your LISTS folders to save them in multiple categories.

Add them to your cart whenever you want to make an order.
