How to install VCDS 12.12 software?

Step 1. Connect VAG COM 12.12 to your PC and a Found New Hardware Wizard window should

pop up:

Step 2. Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" and click Next.

Step 3. You will get a dialog as shown below:

Step 4. Select "Search for the best driver in these locations", click "Include this location in the

search", select the VCDS file under C: Ross-Tech and Click “OK”.

Step 5. Click “Next” in the following window.

Step 6. If it is a clone version, you will get a Windows message saying "This equipment will not

be installed. Contact your system administrator ", then you must do the following

1. Log on to Windows with administrator rights.

2. Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Driver Signing

3. Select Prevent and select "Prompt me each time to choose an action."

4. Then repeat the driver installation.

Step 7. You will get a diaglog box warns you that we did not pay Microsoft a pound of flesh to

certify the driver. Click “Continue Anyway”.

Step 8. Click “Finish” to complete the found new hardware wizard.

Step 9. Insert VCDS CD.

Step 10. Click Options.

Step 11. Select USB In the "Select COM Port" box and then click “Test”. Then you will get a Port

Test as shown below.

Step 12. Click “OK” and then “Save”. Now your VCDS 12.12 is successfully installed.
