How To Do KS2 Maths SATs Type Questions
(Mental Maths Paper)
In a SATs Mental Maths Paper you might be asked to find out a change in temperature that involves a negative number of degrees:
For example: The temperature was two degrees Celsius. It goes down by seven degrees. Write down the new temperature.

To find out the answer, firstly count back 2 degrees to get to zero.
