Cortana- New Feature in Windows 10

One of the unique features found in Windows 10 is Cortana, a personal digital voice assistant for users.

It’s similar to Apple’s Siri. Cortana helps in performing tasks via voice and/or text commands. It can set an alarm for you, send emails, files and so on.

How to Activate Cortana

• To setup Cortana, on your device's taskbar, click or tap inside the Search the web and Windows field. You'll find it right next to the Start button.

Step 1 : Configure first

• Cortana will launch a popup box and say Hi! to you.

• At the bottom of the box, Cortana will ask you to configure her. Click or tap on Next to continue.

Step 2: Accept Terms & Condition

• Now, click or tap “I agree” to accept theterms and conditions, in order for Cortana towork correctly. It will need to collect someinformation about you and your machine.

Step 3: Fill Up Your Name

• Cortana will now ask you what you would like tobe called. You can fill the name of yourpreference or your username in the dialog box.

Done: Ask Cortana Anything

• Done! You’ve finally setup Cortana for first time use. It will automatically give you information about your questions. Feel free to ask her anything.

Talk to Cortana

• Cortana is now your personal digital assistant.

• You can ask her to set a reminder for various tasks.

• Open Apps and directly search query on Bing.

• If you want to use Cortana, make sure you’re connected to the internet. She will not work offline.

Are you male or female? Female? Yes. Women? No.

Where do you Live? In the cloud, in the little space I like to call the Cortanasphere.

Who is your Creator? Well now, I can’t give away all my secrets.

Will you marry me? Ok, we’ll need a plan I’ll work on being more human, you work on being more digital.

Sing me a song Cortana actually sings (you are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy, when skies are gray).

Do you know Clippy? Clippy? He’s taken up Canasta. He is gotten so good he doesn’t need any tutorial.

What’s the best search engine? I use Bing to find answers, and the answer is Bing .

Tell me a joke ? What do you call a fake noodle? An impasta .

Do you know Siri? I know her, but I don’t KNOW her know her.
