How kids look at technology

Everybody would agree that ‘Change’ is the only constant in this universe. Even then people resist change all the time.

Technology is great innovation and difficult to cope up with only when it arrives after we have arrived. Otherwise, it is just a way of life. Please go through the video here (http://youtu.be/XkuirEweZvM ) where kids are reacting to older technology. Besides the fact that this video is funny, it has much learning to offer.

It suggests that we embrace change and adapt to the fast changing technology ushered into our lives. No matter what position you are in, one needs to set examples for the ‘Generation Y’.

There is need to automate businesses at all levels. So whether you are a corporate executive or a bureaucrat, newer possibilities are opening up everywhere. One cannot stick to the old rules of the games. The mobile technologies have so much to offer given the reach and penetration of mobile phones. A lot of what we are used to doing; is going to undergo a lot of change.

The education space cannot stick to chalk and talk, therefore one needs to play around with technology based learning solutions (www.intellituts.com ). We cannot always say that this cannot be changes because we are used to this methodology for several years. The next generation of kids are extremely smart and they are going to laugh at us if we do not experiment and evolve with newer techniques.

The expectations are rising from all stake holders including parents. Schools and colleges need to gear up to automation and provide visibility to all the stakeholders (www.campuserp.in and www.myschool360.in ).

Rules of governance are changing. Citizens are more enlightened and would like to have transparency of the systems and processes and expect much more accountability from the government of the day. Today, we have solutions which enable mobile based attendance system and authenticated reporting of initiatives right from the hand-held mobile phones.

Change, change people and we shall have many more funny videos of kids, in future, reacting to our older ways of working. I invite more thoughts on this topic.
