Online social networks, plus ubiquitous mobility, allows for instant creation of networks by people. Why? It makes them feel that they have access to more friends in their networks when/if needed.
Mobile devices ( i.e. Smartphones, Netbooks, iPads, iPod
Touch, eReaders…) have added to the various ways
patrons communicate and add value to their local and
wide-area communities using social networks, and their
ability to instantly access resources and download them
to their devices.
To assist patrons in their endeavors the Technology
Center has created a variety of brochures pertaining to
the use of mobile devices, downloading audio-
books, eBooks, etc., and provides assistance in how to
use them within the Technology Center and at
home, telephonically.
