• My music magazine is called urban clash which is associated with the band 'the clash' as the magazine is aiming for a rock genre. The font 'base 01' is what I picked from a wide range of fonts. I chose this one because it looks rough which associates with the rough genre of rock.

• Also I did some product research on the magazine 'kerrang' which has a masthead that looks as if it has been smashed up and this is also a rock magazine so I gained inspiration from it.

• The colour scheme I used is mainly red black and white. Other popular magazines such as NME and Q have a colour scheme which is mainly three colours which keeps it simple and easier on the eye. For the majority of the time NME has a colour scheme of red white and black and Q also has the same.

• However, I didn't just choose my colour scheme to copy the other magazines, I thought the colours black and red represented the rough look of rock because of the thought of darkness and blood and danger and white would oppose them and make important areas stand out.

• In the strong fallow area I have put the masthead and a coverline which can interest readers. Also across the middle section is the main coverline with model credit, the font is much bigger so the readers eyes will also be drawn to this.

• The girl I photographed has direct mode of contact with the reader and she is directly in the centre of the image. In the weak fallow area I have put the bar code because I think readers wont be bothered about this and it doesn't need to catch the readers attention.

• The main image has a girl with heavy makeup on and a leather jacket which hopefully portrays the image of rock however it does challenge the conventions because it is a blonde girl which isn't usually seen in rock and is stereotypically rough looking men.

• I don't have any special effects however when I did my focus group it was suggested to me that I possibly added fire to give it more of a dangerous look. My written article is about how elly b rose to become a singer and how much of a challenge it was, I have mentioned other rock artists across the magazine.
