Thief Crashes Stolen Car, Steals Contents… Temporarily! Earlier this year, LoJack for Laptops helped recover a laptop from a suspect who hit many stumbling blocks in his criminal activity - including one final one, when he was caught thanks to our software!

Stumbling Block #1 - The suspect attempted to steal a car, but instead crashed into a parked car. Yikes!

Stumbling Block #2 - The suspect stole items from the vehicle before fleeing, but didn't realize he'd stolen a laptop protected with LoJack for Laptops. We're on the case!

After we were altered to the theft, our Investigations and Recovery Team began gathering information on who was using the stolen laptop. Apparently, many users. We compiled a summary of our investigation to local police, who were able to act on that information the same day. The laptop was recovered!

The messy part of this case was in the details. The suspect who stole the laptop traded it to a family member in exchange for some Marijuana. Using our investigative tools, we found this family member, who quickly told us all about the exchange made for the laptop. Police were able to recover the laptop, the drugs, and the case is ongoing.
