HCL : Helping Indian Utilities in their transformational journey towards “Smart Grid”

Embed Size (px)

DESCRIPTION

India is the third largest producer and consumer of electricity of the world, next only to the USA and China. However, if we compare the electricity network infrastructure, severe energy losses, unreliability of power, we lag much behind. The severe power blackout of 2012, created an urgency for power sector reforms. IT automation of the sector will not only help decrease losses, increase operational efficiency, improve quality and reliability of power; but in the long run will improve financial health of the sector. Thus, more investment can be made into advanced technologies and pave for its much wanted journey towards “Smart Grid”. http://www.hcltech.com/digital-systems-integration
