GPP 6.0 Overview

GMLC/SMLC/SAS/E-SMLC
The active location servers, based on 3GPP standards for 2G, 3G and 4G:
• To get the user location information
• The raw location data is converted to intelligible information by the other modules of GPP
Location methods:
• 2G: Cell-ID + TA
• 3G: Cell-ID + RTT
• 4G: Cell-ID + Enhanced Cell-ID+OTDOA
It supports the integration with different network vendors. Optionally: Sigtran interfaces
Main Components: PPE
Passive Positioning Enabler, PPEKey component to enable the passive location functionality in the middleware layer
It is able to retrieve the location information from the network events through the connection to:
• Probes
• MSC/VLR, GGSN, MME
• RNC/BSC/E-Node B
• Advanced network analytic tools:
Moreover, PPE allows the filter of the mobility information (from network events), which is used by the Middleware Big Data Storage (GBS) for its advanced processing:
• To develop the around immediate service, to find the subscribers located in a particular area
