To refresh is to give new spirit or vig-our to. Its synonyms are: Revive, enliven, invigorate, rejuve-nate, energize, re-store, re-charge and revitalize. Scientists have

discovered that over ¾ of our body contains water. Just as our physi-cal bodies yearn for water the same applies to our spiritual nourish-ment. It is also documented that one cannot survive without taking water for more than 3 days.

There are several missions orga-

nized by NASA and other related organi-

zation seeking to establish whether

there is water in other parts of the Solar

System. It was reported that Scientists

have found tantalizing evidence of a liq-

uid water ocean swirling under the icy shell of Jupiter’s moon Europa.

This was announced this Monday on 26th September 2016 with the new

evidence of the plumes. According to the lead researcher William

Sparks, there would be signs of life without drilling miles of ice found on

the said Jupiter moon. The Water these scientists are looking for is to

sustain physical life. It does not guarantee eternal life!

Water is extremely important to life’s sustenance. Our Lord Jesus sealed this undisputable truth about water with these words: "And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assured-ly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward." Mat. 10:42. NKJV.

To be a blessing in the Kingdom of God, you just begin by doing the basics. One needs to ask himself this question: “What have I been en-dowed with? Is it Leadership? Counseling? Am I an Artisan? Mentor? Do I have talent in Sports? Am I a King or Priest? In the Kingdom of God, we have both kingly and Priestly anointing. But there are special occasions where some leaders functioned in both offices. God put Moses in leader-ship position to help deliver Children Israel from their bondage in Egypt. He was a mediator between God and people. Samuel was a Judge and Priest in Israel. God used him to anoint King David.

It is the Spirit of God that enables people to serve effectively in their respective ca-pacities. Jesus Christ exhibits both Kingly and Priestly Ministry. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. If you are led by the Spirit of God you are most qualified to accomplish much for God.

There are many out there who do not have this understanding you and I have gotten from above. It is our responsibility to bring them back to the fold by sharing with them what God has wrought in us. It is written: “And has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever.” Amen. Rev. 1:6. NKJV. “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” Re 5:10-(KJV).

The angel of the Lord found Hagar (Sarah’s handmaid) by a fountain of

water in the wilderness and ministered to her. She was terribly thirsty.

Water is a very precious commodity.

The Samaritan woman encountered Jesus

at the well. (John 4:6-8.) She had come to

fetch water to meet her physical needs but

her spiritual needs were met by Jesus. Je-

sus answered and said to her, "If you knew

the gift of God, and who it is who says to

you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have giv-

en you living water." - (John 4:10)

God sees what you are facing now. Prophet Ezekiel saw God’s glory.

Ezekiel 10:12. What are all these eyes for? Perhaps you are asking your-

self: Does he really see me? The answer is YES! He is watching us. I be-

lieve He is waiting for us to come to Him and ask for His water of life. At the

well, Jesus told the Samaritan woman to ask for this water of life.

This is what I discovered while reading the above scr iptures: (a) God has assigned His guardian an-gels to watch over us. Even in the wil-derness he is faithful to provide for us. (b) We need to claim (ask) his bless-ings. Jesus asked Samaritan woman to ask for the living water. "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to y o u … M a t t h e w 7 : 7 - 1 1 ( N K J V ) . © Ask we receive this Living water, we should go forth and be used of God to heal the nations. (Rev. 21:1-3) God the Father is the Vinedresser, Jesus is the True vine and we are the branches (leaves). John 15:1-9. Leaves (You and I) are for the healing of the nations. And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. Rev. 22:17. (NKJV).

Every sports-person prefers water to anything else first after strenuous exercises. I remember years back, after playing soccer we would gulp almost two litres of cold clean water to quench our thirsty. And immediately after that, we would feel so refreshed.

When you serve people, you need to go back to God for replenishment of your spirit. When Jesus healed the woman with the issue of blood, virtue (Power, Moral excellence) went out of Him. Luke 8:46. It is this virtue that set this woman free. But Jesus had a way of replenishing Himself as He often wait-ed on God through vigils by night on the mountains. It is written, “Jesus went unto the mount of Olives”. John 8:1. Jesus did this knowing that there was a waiting crowd in

need and to meet their needs, He needed to be in synch with God the Father.

Those who walk in Spirit knows the WILL of God. Gal. 5:16-17. For us to experience breakthrough in our lives, we must ensure that God’s WILL is accomplished through us as His vessels. Once we do this, He will sort other challenges we face. It

is written, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Suffi-cient for the day is its own trouble” .Mat. 6:33-34.

Our Almighty God wants to refresh you so that you could refresh others using His ability (Holy Ghost) in you. Matthew 28:19-20. Ken Liyai Harmony Peace Initiative Group.
