Greenpeace is a non-governmental environnemental organization with offices in over 40 countries, founded in 1971.
Greenpeace states its goal is to « ensure the ability of the Earth to nurture life in all its diversity » and focuses its work on world wide issues such as global warning, deforestation, overfishing, commercial whaling andanti-nuclear issues.
Greenpeace uses direct action, lobbying and research to achieve its goals. The global organization does not accept funding from governments, corporations or political parties, relying on more than 2.8 million individual supporters and foundation grants.
The watchThe watch
• I want to show the importance of its fight by using several tools like Newsletters, RSS Feed and Alert Google in order to highlight Greenpeace actions.
• Greenpeace is a famous organization who fights against the non-respect of ethical principles and for the environment. This organization is known for this and they don’t hesitate to act.
• Since, it was created in 1971, its importance has been growing because of the global warning.
