Getting to Know our Netbooks!!

Assigned a number---you use this SAME computer ALL year!!

Log in--username and password are the same as last year:

vbriggs123(last three numbers of ID)

123456(whole ID)

The first time you log in will take the LONGEST--the computer is finding you!

**If NONE of these work, then ask the teacher for help**

Basic Care Instructions

Be PATIENT!! Sometimes the computers may be slow. Hitting a key MANY times will not make it

work faster.

Treat the keyboard and keys GENTLY! If a key comes off and we have to return your computer--it

may not come back for a month or more!!

Always carry the netbook with 2 HANDS!! If you drop it, it will break--and then you will be without

a computer. :(

PROBLEM SOLVE--don't ask for help right away!

Patience--wait a minute or two

Close out of the program and open it back up

RESTART your computer

Go to the internet--Internet Explorer icon should be on the

bottom tool bar.

You should be on the school's home page:

Type this address in the bar at the top of your screen:

We're going to make this a FAVORITE website now--so you don't have to type it in every day!!

Click on the star and then

"Add to favorite"

Click "Add" button and now it will appear under the when you open the internet.

SHUTTING DOWN!!

Properly shut down!!

Click this button and then shut down from there!!

**DO NOT shut down by holding down the power button!!**

2. Properly put your netbook in the cart!!

Wait until the screen is BLACK before closing your netbook.

Put your netbook on the matching numbered shelf.

PLUG IN the power chord!!
