It costs $99 roughly £59 to sign up to the apple developer account for a year

Allows deployment to device and to submit to app store

FREE account required to get SDK

Check your JDK

To develop for android we need the Oracle/Sun JDK, here are the versions of the JDK we need for each OS.

You can check your version of java installed by running

java -version
