Service Providers worldwide are targeting modernization of legacy voice networks to manage risk of service failures in aging networks and to enable the delivery of new IP based multimedia features and services. GENBAND is a leader in transforming Carrier networks to VoIP / IMS. G5 provides a unique solution that allows service provid- ers to replace legacy line access equipment with a complete Line Access Gateway inclusive of the line card. TRANSFORMATION OPTIONS: GENBAND supports a variety of transformation options for legacy TDM networks: Access Preservation supports existing line access equipment through an Access Gateway Controller, such as the GENBAND G6 Universal Access Gateway which is capable of supporting specific vendor access equipment as well as Digital Loop Car- rier systems connected by TR08, GR303 or V5.2. Access Replacement replaces existing line access equipment us- ing a Line Access Gateway such as the GENBAND G5. The use of the G5 allows any legacy vendor network equipment to be modernized all the way out to, and including, the line card. Access Elimination relies on the delivery of service to the end- user directly over broadband – either fixed line (e.g. FTTX) or wireless broadband (e.g. WiFi or 4G). GENBAND delivers all three access options from a common IP Core – and allows customers to mix and match access to meet their network needs. The GENBAND G5 Line Access Gateway provides an optimum solution for Access Replacement and can deliver Network and Service transformation of legacy networks over existing copper facilities. FREEDOM FROM VENDOR LOCK-IN: GENBAND’s G5 provides all of the functionality of proprietary central office line peripherals in a standards based, economical, and com- pact format. The G5 provides the technology for incumbent facilities- based carriers to optimize and cost reduce their voice networks while continuing to provide the legendary levels of quality and reliability for which the industry is famous. CARRIER DENSITY AND RESILIENCE: A single G5 23” shelf contains 768 lines, or 2304 subscribers per 3-chassis frame. The line card drives full length (1930 ohm) loop lengths, and the overall solution supports carrier class availability and resilience including optional support for full Emergency Stand Alone (ESA) should the northbound connection be interrupted. G5 is also NEBS 3 and OSMINE compliant in order to fit in with carrier physical and operational environments. The overall solution also boasts a power profile of about 0.25 watts per subscriber – dramatically lower than other line access equipment. The G5 solution may be deployed in a Central Office frame line-up, or in a temperature hardened outside plant cabinet. The GENBAND solution also includes full capabilities for mechanized line testing, and centralized management. GENBAND also provides a full set of professional services to assist in the design and implementation of the solution. Access Replacement for Network & Service Transformation

Service Providers worldwide are targeting modernization of legacy voice networks to manage risk of service failures in aging networks and to enable the delivery of new IP based multimedia features and services. GENBAND is a leader in transforming Carrier networks to VoIP / IMS. G5 provides a unique solution that allows service provid-ers to replace legacy line access equipment with a complete Line Access Gateway inclusive of the line card.

TRANSFORMATION OPTIONS:GENBAND supports a variety of transformation options for legacy TDM networks:

• Access Preservation supports existing line access equipment through an Access Gateway Controller, such as the GENBAND G6 Universal Access Gateway which is capable of supporting specific vendor access equipment as well as Digital Loop Car-rier systems connected by TR08, GR303 or V5.2.

• Access Replacement replaces existing line access equipment us-ing a Line Access Gateway such as the GENBAND G5. The use of the G5 allows any legacy vendor network equipment to be modernized all the way out to, and including, the line card.

• Access Elimination relies on the delivery of service to the end-user directly over broadband – either fixed line (e.g.
