At the end of this lesson you will be able to:

• Choose the right technology to use for your particular training need

• Become familiar with new technology tools

• Give old tools new purpose

• You will learn about technology as used in labs and remotely.

• You will plan your training with technology in mind and choose the appropriate technology to use in the training.

Why should you use technology in training?

• Cheaper (no travel costs/time)

• Often available at the learner’s convenience

• Formats appeal to different learning styles:– Audio– Visual– Hands-on– Written

When shouldn’t you use technology?

• When it doesn’t enhance the students’ learning.

• When the students are not receptive to technology.

• When technological capabilities are not available in your setting.
