2THE EVENT social media roll-out strategyTHE EVENTIn January, 2012, Farid Hissain walked in front of a train, taking his life just prior to the start of school. Within 30 days of Farids death, Will Laskero-Tesocki became the second teen from Lake Forest High School to walk in front of a train and take his life. By the end of March, a third teen, Edward Schutt, also followed in his fellow students footsteps by stepping in front of a moving train to take his own life.

The task force was created May 2012 to address this topic. The social media suggestions below expand on the mission of the task force.DEFINING OURSELVESOUR MISSION: PREVENT TEEN SUICIDE AND ONLINE BULLYING BY WORKING WITH PARENTS, THEIR KIDS, EDUCATORS AND THE COMMUNITY TO TEACH RESPONSIBLE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA.

OUR VISION: CREATE AN ONLINE COMMMUNITY THAT IS THE PREFERRED ONLINE SOCIAL MEET-UP SPOT IN LAKE FOREST AND LAKE BLUFF ILLIONIS TO DISCUSS TEEN SUECIDE AND ONLINE BULLYING.WHAT PLATFORMS WILL WE UTILIZEIN ORDER TO REACH OUR GOAL OF HELPING THE TASK FORCE WE WILL NEED TO UTILIZE MULTIPLE ONLINE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS, THESE PLATFORMS WILL INCLUDE:
