Problems

People have trouble choosing a holiday because they don’t know

what’s there. Magni Earth addresses this problem by giving the

user an easy and fast way to find out where attractions are.

People may also have trouble when they would like to translate

something into another language, with Magni-Earth, you can do

just that and with a few touches translate one whole language into

another. You won’t need to worry about ordering wine in French

again.

The Question

The Core Question We Are Answering Is:

What is the quickest and easiest way to find

attractions on the go, anywhere?

As well as:

What is the simplest local phrases in this area?

Hello, we are the representatives of Magni-Earth! We are here to ask for your experienced

opinion, by pitching our app to you. We will persuade you that our app is not only original but

creative as well. Magni-Earth is a revolutionary travel app that lets you see the attractions

and features of an area or destination with ease. We have researched apps related to ours

and we have not found any competitors. The app will be designed for quick and easy use.

The app will use the GPS function of the phone to zoom in and out of the particular area you

choose. Now, so far we have made it sound like any old travel app but, what separates our

app from others of its kind is the vocab function. The app will give you access to a list of

useful, basic vocab for the area chosen. If I was to select France, I could then access a list of

French vocab that would be useful for a holiday. You will also be able to favourite certain

places and share them and the app on Facebook and bookmark attractions. You will be able

to log into Facebook or Twitter in order to share and rate.

This is our logo (Show logo), the magnifying glass represents the ability to zoom in on a place

and look at them in depth. These are our screen designs (show screen designs) we chose

blue because the app is Earth related and we thought white went well with it. We have

designed all the screens and in our opinion, it looks great.

Thank you for listening, do you have any questions?

Competitors

There are not many apps that can be labelled a competitor, the

market seems open. The nearest app to being a competitor is

probably TripAdvisor.

TripAdvisor helps you find things such as hotels and some

attractions but we don’t think that they would be a problem to our

app in the overall attractions market.

MVP

Our app’s key feature is to be able to find attractions and

places to go when on holiday, this app will use GPS to find

out where you are and what attractions are nearby. It will also

use the internet to give you information on the attraction as

well as reviews from other users and links to facebook and

twitter if necessary.

Data, technology and feasibility

The data will be stored on a cloud and will be attached to

each account.

The GPS function will be used to mark on the world and local

map your location.

This can easily be done with current technology as the GPS

and cloud functions do exist.

Marketing

Out of the 18 responses we got, we have learnt that over three quarters are willing to pay and out of those, 72% are not-willing to

have adverts.

Page 16: Final presentation

Our three marketing activities:

Facebook,Twitter and Instagram= In our app we are going to put a

share function and ‘Tweet’ function. These should help increase

the popularity and doesn't cost hardly anything to include. At the

promotion of our app we will advertise on these social networking

sites anyway.

Posters= We will also use the reliable and cheap method of

putting up posters advertising us around big famous attractions

around the UK. We then aim to expand around europe.

TV= We are also planning to do a tv advert to advertise over the

wider variety of audience as almost all of the households in britain

have a tv. We will aim to have the adverts on bbc the most

famous channel.
