Startup of the World’s First Commercial Fieldbus System

April 15th, 1997, Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada

Installation and Commissioning of ninety six(96) 3051T transmitter was completed in 5 hours by 3 instrument tech’s.

Project Savings of over 30% have been documented by customer for the fieldbus installation vs traditional installation.

Instrument Functional Checkout

– Time to do FCO Reduced by 80%

– Apply Portion of Time Savings to QA/QC

• Verify Terminations vs Drawings

• Verify Polarity (if Needed)

• Look for Frayed Wires

• Cables Meet Minimum Specs

• Fieldbus Terminators are Installed

• Verify Proper Grounding
