My community service experience

Working with the girls was a challenge and a learning experience.

They taught me to be patient and that helping people is something that I enjoy doing and am good at.

I ATTENDED WESTSIDE HIGH SCHOOL

I lettered in Varsity soccer for 3 years, co-captain for 2 years and 1st team all district my senior year.

I graduated Westside High School in 2009

I was a member of SAAD (students against alcohol and drugs) for 4 years.

I can use the experience from these three jobs to help with my major in the future.

I learned how to communicate and handle different situations with different types of people.

THE BEGINNING OF COLLEGE

Going to Blinn was the most important and eye opening challenge I have had with school.

I figured out what I wanted to major in because of a class I took at Blinn.

THE START OF SUCCESS

I became very motivated in school when I transferred to HCC.

I made the Deans List two semesters in a row.

I got accepted to Texas Tech University.

THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS TECH

Began school at Tech in spring 2011.

I plan on graduating with my major in ADRS (understanding alcohol, drugs, and addictive behaviors).

MY FUTURE WITH MY MAJOR

Graduate Spring 2014 go to graduate school and get my masters.

Alcohol and Drug Coordinator to help people with different types of addiction.
