Step 1…Designing your ad
Go to: https://www.facebook.com/advertising/
Click the “Create an Ad” button
Lets understand these fields first.
Destination: Where will people go after clicking on your ad: • An external URL like your
website • A Facebook Page • A Facebook Application • An Event
Select Facebook Ads
Type in a catchy title here (Max 25 characters including
spaces )
Type in your ad copy here (Max 135 characters including
spaces )
Upload an image that represents your ad.
Once you complete the steps your page should look like this
Preview of your ad
Click “ Continue” to proceed
Step 2…Targeting
UnderstandingTargeting
Targeting allows you to decide who should view your adsYou can target your ad based on:• Geography • Demography • Interests • Education • Connections
Specify the geographic locations
Specify the desired demographics
Specify interest of the targeted group, e.gcomputer games
Specify if you want to target users connected to some network
Specify if you want further filter your demographics
Specify the education level of your target group

Step 3…Campaigns, Pricing and Scheduling
Specify the currency
Specify the time-zone
Name your campaign and specify how much you want to spend in a day (min USD 1)
Specify the start and end date of your ad
Leave the bidding to auto if you are new on ads. You can also customize the bidding.
Review your ad

• From here you can edit the ad or place your order
• Keep a valid credit card ready to place an order
