Pipe Laying System

Pipeline projects around the world

Laurini

Pipe Laying System

Traditional Pipe-Laying operation

• What are customers looking for in

pipe-laying operations ?

• What are the limitations of traditional

sidebooms ?

• How can we overcome them ?

Laurini

Pipe Laying System

After 30 yrs of experience on jobsites, a lot of thinking

out-of-the-box was needed to design a machine that will

revolutionarize the pipeline industry:

The Laurini Pipe Laying System

Laurini

Pipe Laying System

The LLS …

• Will NOT tip-over

• Occupies less Right-of-Way

• No periodic inspections

• Requires a smaller initial investment

• Is transported easily to the next project

• Useable in both Highly Regulated and Less Reg’d Countries

• Pipe-laying operation can be “automated” !

Laurini

Pipe Laying System

The LLS …

• Will NOT tip-over … 100% risk-free and safe operation

We have put one track on the right-of-way,

and one inside the trench … the machine

will NOT tip-over … 100% safety !

Laurini

Pipe Laying System

The LLS …

• Occupies as little as possible the Right-of-Way … less costs

The Laurini Laying System occupies at least 3 meters

LESS Right-of-Way than a traditional sideboom … -50%

6m 3m

3m x 100 km equals

to 30 hectares LESS

to prepare, maintain,

restored … LESS $$$

Laurini

Pipe Laying System

The LLS …

• Does not need periodic inspections by authorities, less

paperwork and bureaucracy … less costs

The Laurini Laying System is not a sideboom or a

crane. It does not use cables to carry suspended

loads. No need for special inspections or certifications

Laurini

Pipe Laying System

The LLS …

• Requires a smaller initial investment ... less costs

No counterweight, smaller installed HP, operating

weight of 30 t (vs. 50 t)… means a smaller initial

investment compared to a traditional sideboom

Laurini

Pipe Laying System

The LLS …

• Is transported easily to the next project … less costs

The Laurini Laying System can be disassembled and its

components will fit a 40 ft open top container. Road

transport costs can be reduced by 70% and ocean

freight by 90%. No more lost or stolen components.

Laurini

Pipe Laying System

The LLS …

• Can be used both in Highly Regulation Countries and

Less Regulation Countries… single fleet

The engine of the Laurini Laying System is a «module».

Tier4 and Tier2-3 engines can be interchanged to allow

machine operate in Less Regulation Countries and

Highly Regulation Countries. One machine and two

engines will cost less than two machines.

Separate Engine

compartment is

dimensioned to house

either T3 or T4 engines

Hydraulic pumps

compartment is

connected to the

engine by a

cardanic joint

Laurini

Pipe Laying System

The LLS …

• Allows “automatisation” of pipe-laying operations

The Laurini Laying System will require fewer

machines that can now be coordinated by new

technologies
