First Solar had been growing phenominally in the last few years and their current IT applications could not accommodate the growth. First Solar also become a global company expanding their operation from US to Malaysia and Germany. Phased implementation and roll-out of SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to all manufacturing locations and operations. (USA, Malaysia and Germany). The implementation was carried out in phase approach, with implementation in USA followed by Germany and Malaysia. ERP product evaluation and selection of SAP Hexaware carried out the ERP product evaluation and selection for the client, and after multiple round of requirements study, evaluation, assessement and PoC, the client shortlisted SAP as the ERP product for implementation. The implementation covered logistics, manufacturing, supply chain management (SRM) and financial accounting and controlling for each country and subsequent steady state support Source to Pay: includes processes to procure materials, inventory materials and make payment to suppliers Plan to Produce: includes all processes that pertain to the planning and execution of manufacturing processes Record to Report: includes all the processes that pertain to financial and management accounting processes of the company Order to Cash: includes all company processes that pertain to the administration and execution of sales, distribution, and billing processes Engineer to Release: includes management design drawings, enterprise wide changes to drawing documents, products, processes, materials and also incoming material quality Project Setup to Close: includes integration of project processes to support the modules and EPC businesses Benefits Project Duration Scalability and Functionality: The solution is designed for global use, therefore, language, currencies, units of measure, and different regulatory requirements, etc. are factored into the design.
