when Ibrahim is taken away and this creates a sense of defeat amongst the workers.

Their is sharp piano spikes during sudden reveals such as the women finding out Ibrahim was still outside, this accompanied with sudden close ups creates a sense

Camera AnglesDuring the extreme close up in the staff only storage room, their is little to no space in between each other actors, this conveys an idea of claustrophobia which makes the viewer anxious and nervous.

At the end the viewer can see two black people praying before lunch. This gives the impression of division between all the races and that only the black people care about Ibrahim as he was also black. This is a microcosm of the world around us, everyone is separated into “their own kind” and only care about people in their small, closed off group.

At 00:31 The immigration officer notes one of the ethnic minorities in the hotel, this shows, that in the midst of a whole host of people, that we are still racially prejudice to people who are different colours.

Extreme close-up shots of the immigration officers create a sense of tension amongst the hotel workers.

At the end, once she is locking up the locker, their is a close up on the photo of Ibrahim and his friends, this humanizes him and creates a of personality to an otherwise faceless human and lets the viewer know that these people are not just numbers

The swipe used at 4:24 shows the contrast between the bright colours and atmosphere in the two different scenes. At the reception it is bright and colourful but in the storage room with the workers it is dark and gloomy with little colour.

At the end once they begin to close Ibraims locker, their is a zoom shot of the number of the locker, this shows the audience how the British government views immigrants, just numbers, that can be easily replaced and more and more come in every day.

Editing There are several cut-shots between the workers in the storage room looking stressed and Ibrahim hoovering the halls. This creates tension and suspense as it is only a matter of time before something happens to Ibrahim.

The sudden close ups on the woman creates a sense of tension and shock while also showing off the emotions displayed on her face in order to allow the viewer to know exactly what the character on screen is feeling.

Like wise their is extreme close ups on all the workers in the confined closet which allows the viewer to see the anguish on their faces.

All the police are white males, which reflects our racist, white male dominant, society where the ethnic minorities are marginalized and are subject to prejudice.

The fact that the hotel returns to normal represents that we do not care about the lives we ruin via immigration, that despite this mans life being drastically changed, no one seems to care which is representative of how our country views immigrants, as numbers and not humans

At 00:31 The immigration officer notes one of the ethnic minorities in the hotel, this shows, that in the midst of a whole host of people, that we are still racially prejudice to people who are different colours.

MISE EN SCENE • Henry the hoover, tripped up Ibrahim, this shows how capitalism trips up our foreign

immigrants coming to work in this country, they are used for cheap labor and merely discarded like.
