An email client is an email reader or in formal terminology, a mail user agent (MUA). It's basically a computer program that we can use to access and manage our emails. You may have heard about a few of these email programs, or may currently have them in your communication arsenal.

These programs allow you to get your email through the ease of access of your computer without actively opening up a web page. Choosing this option means your emails will be stored online on a remote server until the program you choose fetches those emails to your computer.

What is it?

Webmail is useful if you fnd yourself reading your emails on various computers and devices, on the go. The process is web-based, meaning you get consistent access to your email from any web browser.

With webmail, email clients like the programs we just mentioned can be deleted as a middle man, but don't worry! Webmail is still useable through mail forwarding under each respective program's settings.
