The DM2E scholarly research pla2orm

• Encompasses different soSware components:– Core components: developed in DM2E– Third party open source tools: in combina7on with the core components to

create demonstra&ve applica&ons

• For scholars: Enabling the crea7on of “workflows” to:– Augment resources of interest with seman>cally structured annota>ons

• Including but not limited to DM2E digital cultural heritage objects (CHOs)– Share annota>ons (or keep them private)– Find annota>ons made by other scholars and exploit them (e.g. ad hoc

visualiza>ons)

• Development will con7nue for the core components (Ask, Feed, Pundit)

• Interes7ng direc7ons beyond DM2E:– Integrate Pundit in WikiData (joint Google Summer with WikiMedia and WikiSource community)

– Possible seman7c augmenta7on pilot with MarineLives project using Pundit

– Possible seman7c augmenta7on pilot with GramsciSource project using Pundit and other DM2E technologies.
