warning or a lesson. The bottom picture
saying, Call 911 or Die for example
Fear has a lasting impression and when people think something bad will happen to them because of their actions they will tend to avoid that circumstance
STEREOTYPES
Urban legends are told as a true stories and contain stereotypes.
People tend to buy into buy in to Stereotypes as if we were programmed To believe them. Such as a scary old House must be haunted.

In some urban legendsWoman are looked at asThe “danger” or villainSuch as AIDs Mary or
Bloody Mary and in othersThey are looked at as weak
Such as the Dead Boyfriend
Or The Hook just to nameA few examples.
EMOTION
Emotion is very important in an urban legend weather itIs fear, humor, shocked, or astonished…etc. If there wasNo emotion in a legend then it would not last through timeAnd in turn would not be a legend at all. In this slide I show fear and shock by the strange bird thing.
