We build 5 pages of the content you supply us, such as:

CHOICE OF 1,000 DESIGN “THEMES”

Once you select your design (called a ‘theme’) we’ll secure your domain name.

Then we’ll install and configure your design ‘theme’ onto your domain (i.e.; www.YourSite.com) so your design is in place.

ADD IMAGES TO YOUR ‘THEME’

Once you collect or purchase the images you want, we’ll add those along with your text to build each of your pages.

[NOTE: Intellectual property law for websites requires you

use images you have permission for.]

We’ll provide resources where you can purchase these licensed images to use on your website and offer some marketing guidance on choosing images.



SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION(SEO)

We will add SEO capabilities to enable Google or other search engines (and your customers!!) to find and rank your website.

STRATEGIC MARKETING

It’s the strategic marketing that sets the value of our website package apart.

You’ll get guidance on decisions that affect your marketing – not just how to make a cute design or flashy site!



SPECIAL FEATURESOnce we build your website, we will add 3-5 specific features custom-selected for your unique business. Typical features include:

• spam filter

• backup protection

• search buttons

• subscription signups

• video or audio addition capabilities

• or tools to more easily manage your changes or

TUTORIAL

You’ll receive a 1.5 hour online tutorial so you can make changes to your site yourself without paying a programmer. (this saves you on averages $2000-$5000 annually).

If you wish additional training for more advanced programming later, that is billed hourly and can be scheduled when you need it.

WORDPRESS

The technical platform we use to build your website is

called ‘Wordpress’.

It affords you a huge range of designs, called “themes”

in Wordpress so that you have many variations of style

and design to choose from. This way, you’ll avoid custom

design prices that add $5000-$10,000 on average, for a

website.

Wordpress also saves you programming cost because

many elements of your site are ‘built in’.

THEMES

Wordpress uses design ‘templates’ called ‘themes’. You have over 1,000 themes to choose from so you can find a design ‘theme’ that works for you.

THEMES: A ‘theme’ is comprised of the header plus navigation, page layout, sidebars and widgets. Don’t like the 1,000 designs? We’ll just drop in your own image!

The images and colors can be changed on almost all of them.

The page layout consists of the header, background (in some themes, not all), navigation, sidebar, body text & images. You can change color, images and layouts in many of these ‘themes’ without customization.

Design Elements: Headers

A Header is the top banner or heading in a ‘theme’. In this example it shows the website’s name over a black and green gradient background.

You can choose any image to use inside this header on many themes. (note: you must have permission to use the photos & they must fit our tech specs). Or you can choose sections of this header to fill the entire background of the header space.

Navigation Menus can function as drop down menus (a few themes allow this) or just links to pages. Here’s a sample without a drop down menu:

Here are sample Sidebar Menus, which can contain various pieces of information from categories to calendars or search bars. We’ll choose which items to place in your sidebar once your content is ready.

Widgets are pieces of programming code that we can add to your site to make it function better or to add features. We’ll review those choices with you once the site is built and we have recommendations for you.

Widgets are chosen to back up the files on your site, to protect you with spam filters, to promote your site on social media or other needs that we’ll advise you, once the site is built.

Tutorial

After your site is built, we’ll provide you a

1.5 hr. online tutorial.

make text changes and other essential

management of your website.
