Implementation Project demands Challenges to Data Migration Team

Functional teams need data early in the project It is difficult to create upload programs and templates becuase the requirements and customising are not yet finalised

The team members want to test with actual customer data

Data delivered is of poor quality. Once loaded, the errors are difficult to identify and reload of only subsets of the data is difficult

There is a need for multiple data migration cycles throughout Realisation Phase

It takes too long to get all the data loaded due to poor quality and time to correct errors. Therefore repetitions need to be limited.

Closer to realisation, data requirements change and templates need to be adjusted on the fly

Administering templates of various versions and from various sources is an administrative nightmare. It is difficult to change the LSMW programs
